| What precautions should be taken when using forklift side shifters? |
The side shifter is the most common type of forklift attachment. Its primary function is to allow the forklift's cargo rack to move laterally left and right, significantly enhancing the forklift's flexibility. However, when using a forklift side shifter, the following points should be noted.
Precautions for the use of forklift measuring instruments
Before starting the vehicle, check all control and alarm devices. If any damage or defect is found, operate after repair.
2. When handling, the load should not exceed the specified limit. All the forks must be fully inserted under the goods and the goods should be evenly placed on the forks. It is not allowed to lift the goods with the tip of a single fork.
3. Start, turn, drive, brake and stop smoothly. When turning on wet or slippery roads, slow down.
4. When loading goods while driving, lower the goods and tilt the mast backward.
5. When driving on slopes, be cautious. When driving on a slope greater than one-tenth, move forward when going uphill and backward when going downhill. Do not turn when going up or down slopes. Do not perform loading and unloading operations while the forklift is in motion.
The rational use of forklift side shifters can effectively improve operational efficiency while ensuring safety.
